Zamzam Water
One of the miracles that can not be denied from the Zamzam well is the water that never dries. Since the days of Prophet Abraham AS, until now this water disumber water, still abundant, even though millions of people have made use of that water. Apart from abundant, Zamzam water's taste is different from other regions. It feels fresher than the water from any country freshes. The most amazing though stored for years Zamzam water is not going to mossy, so at every Hajj season, pilgrims make a lot of Zamzam water as a by-by who must be brought home.
History of Zamzam Water.
Various saheeh hadith states, that the Zamzam well was originated from a single event experienced by Siti Hajar, wife of Prophet Ibrahim As and his son who is still nursing, Ismail As. Once said that Siti Hajar and his son, Ismail left her husband, Ibrahim As in order to fulfill God's command at the time, certainly with enough stock to supply the next few days. A moment of dates and water supplies are left out, Prophet Ismail who was still crying toddler constantly thirsty. Siti Hajar who do not bear to see her son in such circumstances, become panicked and ran to the top of the hills Safa and Marwa. In such conditions, the angel Gabriel, sent from God Almighty, see Siti Hajar. Gabriel and his feet paw the ground, so memancarlah called Zamzam water. From the results of pumping test, the Zamzam well which has a diameter of up to 2.66 meters 1:46, capable of removing the water as much as 11 to 18.5 liters per second. Every minute, a water-spent can reach 660 liters per minute or 40,000 liters per hour.
In these tests, geologists do Zamzam water pumping about 8,000 liters of seconds for more than 24 hours. From the pumping of that size, the well water level was down from a depth of 12.72 meters to 13.39 meters from the ground. But water levels stopped declining, even the water back up kekedalaman originally stopped after 11 minutes of pumping. From these events can be inferred that the Zamzam water seemed would never dry.
So far, many policies that have been taken by the government of Saudi Arabia to maintain the Zamzam well. One of them form a special body Zamzam water management in 1415 H (1994).
Makkah residents for drinking, water is taken from the fountain of Zamzam, but for purposes of bathing, water taken from the distillation of sea water. while to serve the pilgrims, the government of Saudi Arabia has built Zamzam water storage tanks with a capacity of 15,000 cubic meters are concatenated with another tank on top of the Grand Mosque.
